When Naji’s Pizza opened up in 1988, 101A was still a two lane road cutting through trees. As Amherst expanded, so too did the family business. In the summer of 2008, the restaurant, then Amherst House of Pizza, burned down. But the event marked a community-turned-family, as dozens of patrons expressed the significance that the small town, family-owned business meant to their sense of local New Hampshire ideals. Since re-opening, the business has expanded further, hiring staff members, which Naji and his wife Rosie have been grateful to adopt into their own family. Today, customers who once came in as children come in with children of their own. The tradition of family continues.
